VISION User Guide

Use batch change to quickly make the same change to multiple data objects in one operation, rather than changing those objects one at a time. One example is setting a bunch of objectives to the same development status.

What objects are in the batch?

The "batch" can consist of all items you have selected in a workbench or search result window, and if you choose, it may also include the descendents of those selected nodes. You can also specify selection criteria, so that only some of the descendents get changed.

Customizable

Not every property of a data object can be changed by the standard batch change operation, as the change window offers only a subset of properties to be changed.

However, since batch change is controlled by a report script, it is possible to develop and substitute a custom script in place of the standard one, if you desire to change other data attributes – or if you want to reduce what the batch change can do.
