This tab shows a Task Analysis Hierarchy representing the analysis performed on this task and the Analysis status.
The top node in the Task Analysis window, a task, is the task you are currently editing. If you are currently performing a Task Analysis, you can do it here, if you prefer. If you do your Analysis here, all changes made in this window will be reflected in the hierarchy to which the task belongs.
Warning: Any changes you make in the Task Analysis field are permanent. Clicking the Cancel button at the bottom of the Analysis Workscreen will not undo any changes made.
This window shows your Task Analysis hierarchy from the Task down. If you click your right mouse button in this window, you will get a menu of commands that you can perform on this hierarchy.
The Analysis Status should be set to reflect the state of your Task Analysis.
Before you begin your Task Analysis, this field should be set to "Developing." After the Analysis is complete, you should set this field to "Reviewing," if you have a process of Analysis review.
If the Analysis is reviewed, the reviewer can either change this field to "Developing," if more work needs to be done, or "Completed," if the Analysis passes the review.
The task's status must be "Completed" before it can be used on a qualification or in an objective. If you are not sure what to do to put a task into completed status, review the items on the Task Status Checklist.
•Tasks are "Completed" on the Analysis page, on the Status menu.
•Tasks can be put into "Completed" status regardless of their state or the state of any of their subordinate nodes (including sub-tasks). Therefore you must check the Task and all of it's subordinate nodes before putting it into Completed status to ensure that it is ready to be presented to learners.
•If your organization is using the Task Change Impact feature, when a Completed task is edited, the Task Change Impact on the task's Qualification page, will become blank. You will have to enter a Task Change Impact before the task can be put back into Completed status.
