Create an Organization
To add a new organization to the Administrative area of the LS, follow these steps:
1.Click on Administration on the Main Menu.
2.Click on the Organizations tab.
3.Click on the Add Organization button.
4.Enter the Organization's Properties.
5.Click the Add Organization button when you are finished.
Develop an Organization Hierarchy
The organization hierarchy is where you will assign users, courses and qualifications to your organization. Use the hierarchy controls to add departments, supervisors, and job positions to the hierarchy.
To create a hierarchy for your organization, follow these steps:
1.Under Administration on the Main Menu, click the Organization tab and click on the organization's title.
2.Click on the top node of the organization.
3.Click the Add Child Node button on the Selected Node menu. Click this link to see details about the organization node options: Organization Hierarchy.
4.Enter a title for the node, and fill in the other options.
5.Click the Create Node button.
6.Add more nodes to continue building your organization's hierarchy. Click on either the parent or new child node and click the Add Child Node button again.
7.Note that you can move nodes with the arrow buttons next to "Selected Node".
Assign VDM Projects to an Organization
Assigning VISION Developer module projects to an organization is necessary to assigning work areas and courses to the organization's job positions.
To assign VISION Developer module projects to your organization, follow these steps:
1.Under Administration on the Main Menu, click the Organization tab and click on the organization's title.
2.Click the Projects link.
3.In the list of Available Projects, click the Add button next to the project you want to add to the organization. You can remove a project with the Remove button.
If you need to disable, or lock, a VDM project in VISION Security, you will not be able to do so while it is connected to a VISION Learning Station organization. To disconnect a VDM Project and a VLS Organization, follow this procedure, click on the project you wish to unlink, and click the Remove button.
Map VLS Job Positions to VDM Hierarchies
Follow these steps to assign work areas from VISION Developer to job positions within the Learning Station:
1.Under Administration on the Main Menu, click the Organization tab and click on the organization's title.
2.In the hierarchy, click on a job position node.
3.Click the Map to Hierarchy button. 
4.Check the box for the project that has the work areas you will map and then click the Next button.
5.Click the radio button for the project, and the available work areas will appear on the right.
6.Click the checkboxes next to the work areas you want to map.
7.You can find work areas by clicking on the Analysis, Objective, and Program tabs, or by clicking on the Save and Continue button. Note that each time you switch tabs without clicking Save and Continue, your selections will be lost.
8. When you have proceeded through all of the tabs and clicked the Save and Continue button you will see a list of the work areas you have mapped.
9.Click the Finish button.
Your next step will be to assign Users and Courses to your Organization.
