VISION User Guide

Summary or Introduction?

While the controls for both the Introduction and Summary pages are the same, there is one big difference between the two. Regardless of whether a student guide is being printed from the VISION Developer module or presented to learners in HTML through the VISION Learning Station, the introduction is placed before the objective content and the summary is placed after the objective content.

Steps to Enter a Summary or Introduction

Word

1.Open the Lesson Properties window and click on either the Summary or Introduction tab.

2.Click Word Actions and select New Document.

3.Your Word document will open. Type or paste in content. When you are finished, save the document and close it.

4.VISION will confirm that you wish to save your changes. Click Yes.

PowerPoint

1.Open the Lesson Properties window and click on either the Summary or Introduction tab.

2.Click PowerPoint Actions and select New Presentation.

3.Your PowerPoint presentation will open. Type or paste in content. When you are finished, save the presentation and close it.

4.VISION will confirm that you wish to save your changes. Click Yes.

Publish a Summary or Introduction

To deliver the introduction in the VISION Learning Station, select one of the options under "Convert to HTML options..." heading.

You can choose to convert Word to HTML or PowerPoint to HTML (if you have Office 2010) or to MP4 Video (if your version of Office is newer than 2010).

Once you've made your selection click the Convert button.  You can view or unpublish the HTML content with the other buttons on that page.
