Assessment profiles are (for the most part) created in VISION Learning Station and assigned in both the Developer and Learning Station modules. To create most types of assessment profiles please see the VISION Learning Station help. Use the link to find instructions to create a Questions Per Objective Assessment Profile in the VDM.
The assessment profile assigned in the VISION Developer module is the "default" assessment that the course author has selected. It can be changed in the Learning Station, but an icon will appear in the courses' properties if this is done.
Follow these steps to assign an assessment profile to a course using VISION Developer:
1.In the Program hierarchy, open the properties window for the training unit. Only a program node marked as a lesson or training unit can be assigned an assessment profile.
2.If the training unit is already approved, you will have to change its status to make edits.
3.Click on Tests in the properties window.
4.Click on the Assessment Profiles button.
5.Select the assessment profile title to be the recommended default assessment profile, click OK.
6.If the training unit is now complete and ready to be presented to learners, click on General and change the Development Status to Completed-Active.
7.On all pages of the training unit's properties, there is an LS Options button. Click this and select Publish to VISION LS.
8.Finally, you must set the training unit's parent course's Status to Completed-Active on the General page. The course must be approved to deliver its training units to the VLS.
If you are editing a course that is already active in the VISION Learning Station you will need to create a new copy of the course event to access this assessment profile.
1.Open the VISION Developer module and open the Program hierarchy.
2.Navigate to the Training Unit linked to the course you're editing.
3.Open the TU's properties and click on the Tests page.
4.Click on the Assessment Profile button and select the new profile.
5.Click on the General page and change Development Status to Completed-Active.
6.On all pages of the training unit's properties, there is an LS Options button. Click this and select Publish to VISION LS.
7.Finally, you must set the training unit's parent course's Status to Completed-Active on its General page.
8.Next, in the VISION Learning Station, you will create a new version of the course and create a new course event.
