Use a static exam when it is important to have specific exam questions in a specific order.
1.Open the Program hierarchy and navigate to the training unit to which you want to assign a static exam (you will want this available later).
2.On the Main Menu, click on Tests, and choose Open.
3.Minimize the test window so you can see it and the program hierarchy at the same time.
4.Click the Search button and select the name of the test you want to assign.
5.Drag the selected test onto the Program training unit.
6.Right-click on the Program training unit, click Branch Approval Operations, and Approve Branch.
1.Open the Program hierarchy and open the training unit to which you want to assign a static exam.
2.On the Test page, click the Actions drop-down menu and select New.
3.You will be asked if you want to close the Lesson Properties window, click Yes.
4.Enter a Title for the test.
5.The training unit has already been added as the Test Unit. If you wish to add additional test units you can do so.
6.Click on the Selection page, click the Load button, and select Define Filter and then Question Filter.
7.Select "VLS-acceptable questions..." and click Load Defined Filter. Click OK.
8.Click the Select menu and choose All Questions or Define Profile. Select the questions you would like on the test.
9.Click the Order button if you wish to specify the order of questions on the test.
10. When you are ready, click the Build Test button. You can review the test by clicking on the Generate Test button and, if it is not satisfactory, rebuild it.
11. When the test is complete and ready for learners change the Status to Approved and click OK.
Note that a static exam can only be taken once (even if it is not completed), so if you give learners more than one attempt at a static exam, you must have a corresponding number of exams available.
