VISION supports custom RTF Templates for several fields in hierarchy nodes. You can create these templates in Word, save them as RTF files, and then save them in VISION to make them available to your organization.
RTF templates can be added to the Procedures and OJT Notes page on Analysis Hierarchy nodes, as well as several different Comments and Version Comments fields.
1.Start by creating your RTF template in Word and saving it as an ".rtf" file. Give each template a name that will allow you to identify it among other templates. For example, if you wish to use a template for the Comments field of an Analysis node, you might call it "AnalysisComments.rtf".
2.Save the rtf template in the ProjectTemplates folder in the VISION root folder. If you want a template to be shared across projects, we recommend you use a folder named "Shared" under the ProjectTemplates folder. You may also consider adding separate folders for project-specific templates.
3.Log into Security.exe and click on the Projects tab.
4.Click the Files tab on the right side of the window.
5.Under Formatted Field templates you will have two options.
a."By default, populate this formatted field" will share the template across projects.
b."For the selected project, populate this formatted field" will only add the template to the highlighted project on the left.
6.Use the drop-down menu to select the field you want to populate.
7.Use the Set/Change button to browse for the template. If a template has already been set for a field, it will be displayed in the "with the contents" box when that field is selected.
8.When you have finished adding templates you must start or restart the VISION Developer module for them to be applied.
Note that setting the templates WILL NOT alter existing data, they will only be applied to new data.
