The VISION Learning Station and Web modules work together to provide web-based access to courses and exams created in VISION Developer, as well as extensions to several VISION Developer module features. This is an overview of the web modules features.
This module provides the base off of which all of the other web modules operate. If your organization only has one VISION web module, it will also have the Administrator module. This module includes the Organization and Users features.
"Users" are the people who will be working within the VISION web modules. These might be administrators, course instructors, trainers, or learners. You can enter user information automatically in batches or manually, one at a time. Users can be assigned to organizations, job positions, and in supervisory roles. They will also each receive a security role that will prevent them from accessing data that they don't have the authorization for.
The Organizations module allows you to split up Learning Station users into distinct groups that reflect a real-world organizational structure. You can then assign VISION Developer projects and work areas to the groups reflected in the organization structure. You might choose to create one large organization or many small ones, depending on your needs. In each organization you can create an hierarchy with different departments and job positions. Courses and qualifications can be assigned to specific organizations, departments, or job positions, and they can be assigned to every user in that group at once.
With the Learning Station module you can assign your VISION Developer courses and exams to users, who can then take those courses and exams online. Once complete, exams can be graded by either the instructor or automatically, by VISION. The Learning Station also supports course evaluations and a variety of different methods of assessment, such as Task Performance Evaluations and Job Performance Measures.
The Learning Station includes the Surveys feature, which automates the process of creating, responding to, and collating DIF Surveys for Tasks in the VISION Developer module. With this feature, you can create a DIF Survey from VISION Developer tasks, have it sent automatically to respondents, and then update the tasks' DIF values through the Learning Station.
The Learning Station includes the Qualifications feature, which allows you to assign VISION Developer Tasks to learners for qualification. It also allows Learners to request training and evaluation online, and once the qualification is completed, VISION will route the qualification automatically. You can also use this module to track and report on the qualification's expiration date.
The Certification module is an extension of the VISION Learning Station which allows learners to earn "credits" for continuing education course work. Certifications are set up in both the VISION Developer and Certification module, and allows you to track and report on the credits that learners earn.
The Action Tracking module allows VISION users to record and track suggestions and problems that might arise in your training materials. For example, if a learner discovers lesson content is incorrect, they can create an Action Tracking item about it. This item can then be edited and assigned by the course instructor or some other administrator in the Action Tracking module, and then opened and resolved by an instructional designer in the VISION Developer module. Since Action Tracking is a distinct web module, any issue can be tracked in this manner and any user can create an Action Tracking item.
All of the web modules and features listed here have associated records and reports. Most of these are found in the Records area and Reports area on the Main Menu, but some are collected with the feature that they report on. All of these reports can be printed in PDF format, and some generate .cvs and .xlsx documents.
