Security is an important part of the Learning Station. Obviously, it would be bad for a learner to have access to their instructor’s tests, or be able to change the setting and rules that an administrator set into place. Employees should only have access to the areas of the LS that they need to use. This segment will show you how to assign or change an employee’s security access.
To change the security access of your personnel, follow these steps:
1.On the Main Menu, click on Administration, and then the Users tab.
2.Click on an employee. You can use the filters to narrow down the list of names presented.
3.Click the Properties tab and then the Edit button.
4.Scroll down to find the Security Access entry, and then select a level from the pull-down menu.
a.Learner: This security role is for students who will be assigned to courses and exams. A learner will only be able to access lessons and exams to which they has been assigned.
b.Instructor: This role is for someone who will create and/or manage courses and course events. They will be able to interact with courses, course events, learners, assessment profiles and learner feedback as well as everything within the "Learner" role.
c.Site Administrator: The site administrator will have complete access to his or her own organization, but not other reports or courses that belong to other organizations; as well as everything within the "Learner" and "Instructor" roles.
d.Administrator: This role has complete access to every feature in VISION Learning Station and can view and interact with all of the data in the system.
5.Click the Save Changes button.
You can also assign a Supervisor to a user with the Supervisor menu on the user's Properties.
