The typical VISION project involves these broad steps:
Launch from… |
Description of the activity |
|
Analyze |
Workbench and then Analysis Activities on the Main Menu. |
Work through each analysis activity on the Analysis Activities menu. VISION will provide step-by-step instructions for each activity. |
Get reports |
Outcomes and then Reports on the Main Menu. |
At various stages during or after any activity, you will be advised to get data collection forms, summaries or other reports to support and document your project. |
Make cross reference links |
Cross Reference on the Main Menu. |
Choose a document (such as a Task Performance Evaluation) from a list; then link the Cross Reference items according to the instructions VISION will give you. Link items for each document that you want. |
Generate documents |
Outcomes and then Documents on the Main Menu. |
Generate the documents you want directly from your database. |
Design |
Workbench and then Design Activities on the Main Menu. |
Complete each design activity on the list: create objectives, test items and organize a training program. Instructions will be provided by VISION. |
Generate training documents |
Outcomes and then Documents on the Main Menu. |
Produce finished training documents based on objective content. |
Generate tests |
Tests on the Main Menu. |
When you want to produce a cognitive (knowledge) test, follow the instructions to generate an exam that meets your specific needs. Exams can only be generated, however, after completing the design activities. |
Keep it all up to date |
Select Workbench on the Main Menu and then Change Management. |
Your database will contain links between every instructional component; documents are based on this integrated data. With these relationships, change is relatively easy to manage to keep your programs up to date. |
There are three categories of project activities that you can do from the Workbench menu: Analysis, Design and Development. Each category contains a set of specific activities. When you choose an activity, VISION Developer will open the workscreens and the Cue Card to help you get started.
To perform any project activity from the Workbench menu on the Main Menu:
1.Click on a category of activities (Analysis, Design, or Development).
2.Click the specific activity in the sub-menu.
